Happy is the Man who has Peace of Mind

Happy is the man who has peace of mind,
He who wakes and salutes the dawn of day,
Who in his mortal shell can aptly find,
What others cannot see in any way.

He walks through daily life as one of us:
He suffers, he weeps, he hurts, his heart sways,
He breaks down, he falters, he bites the dust;
One of us, different in many ways.

He meditates wisdom instead of praise,
He lives as an end, and not as a means,
His steps are measured ‘gainst the storm unfazed,
One of us, yet different so it seems.

We all fear the man with the peace of mind,
He’s a ghost in an unforgiving place,
An enigma advanced and far behind,
One of us, walking a different pace.

Happy is the man who has peace of mind,
He who is incorrupt by time and greed,
Who can in winter bear the cold unkind,
He who is _____, he who is truly freed.
