I fell in love when I was three.
There was this girl who sat by me,
But her face I could not recall,
Just how she made me feel, that’s all.

She was impudent yet so kind,
To take my hand and ease my mind.
I was just this small little boy,
Holding that bright red firetruck toy.

We ran among the young meadows,
Of spring and nostalgic shadows.
When sunset came to say farewell,
Left was but a story to tell.

If along the road our paths crossed,
Would I recall the girl kissed,
By the sunlight and by the moon,
Who made my banal childhood swoon?

If only I knew your fair face,
I’ll scour the world for your embrace,
Alas, my faith is I shall see,
The girl I fell in love with when I was three.
