Six Months Ago

Hey, do you remember me?
I’m you from six months ago.
A lot has changed, I can see,
But I’m writing just so you’ll know,
That at this very moment,
I know that you feel like quitting,
You can hide the tears you resent,
But you can’t hide anything
From the man you once were.
Six months is a short while,
When you think about getting there.
You’ve fought for every inch and mile,
And you’re still fighting on.
Don’t give up, whatever happens, my brother,
With each day lost or won,
You’ll become a better man one way or another.
