Time Machine

It works! It works!
My time machine works!
Though, there are a few kinks.
The flux bands are a bit worn out
Since they came from the junk no one thinks
To see, but ah, they didn’t know about
That, didn’t they? Then there’s the reactor core;
It’s a deuterium and hydrogen bubble,
With some cola and cake.
Why, you ask? In cold fusion there’s not trouble,
And a guy’s got to eat his cola and cake
(and I’m going to have it too, you’ll see.)
Then there’s the Chrono-amplifier.
It looks like a dashboard from a planet named Shillywamee.
I can’t seem to get past 2010, or before 2010. Or before
today or after today. Or before this moment. But ah! It moves
to the seconds, it works! It moves to the future!
By the evidence presented, this only proves
That my time machine can move beyond space, and matter,
And energy, and time itself! How to get to the past?
Through the future of course! It’s all just a continuum of first and last.
