Ashes to Ashes

He can’t move.
He is chained
To a wall.

It is dark.
He is scared
He is dead.

They have left.
They have left
Him wounded.

Blood drips down.
He is weak.
He’s dying.

From the front
And the back
He is hurt.

O Judas!
O Cassius!
O Brutus!

Why have you
Betrayed us?
We, your friends?

We shall come
And you shall
Ask mercy.
