Virtue

In a child’s innocent, fair eyes I see,
Just like a mirror, what I used to be.
Days that have passed and days that are to come,
Truly are best seen from where we came from.

From a child! From a child’s innocent eyes,
Shall we know how to love the worldly lies
And be free! And be free and bear the pain
Of heartaches, of tears, that all meet the same.

Though tears may fall from a child’s winsome eyes,
Though seasons pass, hope stops and finally dies,
I promise you, let time and teardrops prove,
Like a fair child’s shall ever be my love!
